I thought the breakfast and dinner meals were very good. Every staff member was very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room a good size.

We really enjoyed staying here. We had great views from the balcony - although we couldn't use it. The beds were comfy and the shower was powerful and hot. We had an excellent breakfast. Staff were attentive and friendly and allowed us to check-in early at 3pm.

The room was clean and comfortable, the rook was topped up of amenities daily - the biscuits were a lovely touch. Only downside was the parking was £15 a night (we knew there was an additional charge but never stated how much until we arrived at property) and the WiFi did not work despite raising concerns with staff. The room had a tv with access to basic channels - not Netflix or player , so we didn't spend much time in the room as unable to get online, which was a bit of a hassle when trying to organise plans & stay in touch with friends and family we were supposed to be meeting. We made great use of the bus (31) which ran every 15-30mins during the day & night as the hotel is on a steep hill & with all the walking in the day it was definitely needed! The bus stops were located right outside hotel.

A fabulous, grand building. Quirky halls and beautiful tall ceilings. We stayed in a family room (room 219). We had a beautiful bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Big bed - I’d have said bigger than a king size, and a turned out sofa bed. Tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and hairdryer. Everything we needed!

Staff were really friendly and engaging. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean. Food was delicious. The hotel was peaceful even though it was fully booked and it was a really nice relaxed stay
